How to find freedom inside a form

Do not fix your glance to the form. Instead be what you are, freely, unobstructedly. (For example take a walk in the nature, do things that you like, enjoy life, express yourself enough to feel free but do not reveal yourself in any way that would be dangerous, like "I like ice cream" ( most people like it) but not like "Collecting X has always been my secret love." (Others cannot share it, so they are likely to restrict you from doing it.) Seeing how you are alike with all the others: "I love Life!", you can enjoy a freedom that makes your capacity grow.) What you are is a complex thing, much more complex than the form.
Now, you can be honest but don't tell everything: You can see which sides of your life the form touches, but don't let that be all of your life even now. Live, express yourself and see where you are like the form, let that side of yourself be clearly in sight, partly guiding your actions/steps, the rest not-so-well-in-sight. Thus you can as an expression of what you are fulfill the form and at the same time live freely.
This way you can also make inspirated variations to the form: Just let your experience of life be a starting point. See which things touch feelings especially much: those are your energy, those will in their generalised form touch others too, without revealing anything about yourself personally but teaching a lot about what it is like to be a human.

These are useful skills, not just for dancing or singing, but for all of your life - in the modern environment which sets so many demands for us.

Mozart & skill

I am reading about the life of Mozart. To dublicate such genius in someone would demand from the modern people a contact with the nature, with the fractureless undisturbed form of experience and with its great variation of structures, rhythms, atmospheres etc. The whole nature view is an experience for which you can find a form if you pay attention to the details of that landscape. From those details you can pick structures like the one that you want to describe, structures with spirit of their own and witha great variation of possible expressions. So once you have something that you want to express, you can find the technical form for it by a nature landscape analogy. This is just technical skill of going from a phenomenom to its atmosphere, from there to it as a sensed phenomenom and from that to the technical form. And of course also the other way: from technical form to the phenomena in the reality with such a form and to their spirit: to their way of doing and reason for existing. Thus the technical cannot spoil the real spirit in things.
Of course one would also need the skill to experience life as a great panorama of music and the ability to see the natural unspoiled form of things in life from the tiny fragments that we have in our lives left of the natural and naturally beautiful.

Living fully when working

Living fully when inside some work perspective

Find the soul of the work's demands on you & others.
That makes you work better and enjoy your work more.
It also fits your work together with the rest of your life, with your ideals in how to live.

Making a technical form for anything

This way, if you learn this way of doing thoroughly and have a good grasp of the soul in your deeds, you can begin to start from the soul and build a variety of expressions for it, so that once you have the soul of something, you can make a good technical form suiting it, conveying it. You have become a coreographer, freely dancing in a way that expresses just what you want to express. Or if it is a form of a different kind: a theory builder, a source of building instructions for anything at your area of expertice and maybe in many other things in your experience too.

How to not to lose the soul to technique

But how to do a thing if you do have a glimpse of its soul but at the same time have a technical form to fill?
Start with the clearest intuitive idea of the soul in its pure best form, in its right place in the world which also should be conceived intuitively, inspiratedly. Then in addition pay attention to the atmosphere of that soul: to its overall atmosphere, to all its sides, to each tiny glimpse of something somewhere so that you have a landscape of atmospheres, the overall shape of which is the soul. Where you know what is what, fill in also the sensed impressions, parctical deeds etc. that produce the atmospheres in the landscape. In order to better handle the whole, arrange it spatially, to a real landscape.
Then you should take the only APPROXIMATELY right technical form and interprete it to the language of practical actions, sensed impressions, atmosphere tones etc, maybe have a glimpse of its soul. Fit that all to be a part of the atmosphere landscape, making the soul better tha in the technical form, allowing exeptions to rhythm and variation: toward more soulful, atmospheric, inspirated.
Like, if we have the example of one step forward in a pair dance, you might remember some part of your life where you had a social contact with a similar atmosphere. Stylize toward that, letting yourself be like then, teaching that view to life to your pair too, get a grasp of that way of living, of the rythm that it produces, of the ways to step gladly, show it also outside and say to yourself that it is your own impression or a variation of the mechanical "one step forward" rule. And that is it! Now you have the life in the living in the first place and the mechanical forms in the last place without having forgotten the mechanical form.

Finding the soul of form, in pair dance

Let's say that you do something that the technical form of what you do demands, say step one step forward in a pair dance or do whatever deed it is that you are suppodes to do. Now, generally speaking, there is some reason for you doing that deed, you reach some goal of yours by doing that deed, but why just that, why not something else?
Each deed is different, but you need a much much more complex view to the world than the technical one in order to understand why. The technical view is a means of the not-so-skilled to do better than they otherwise could, thus they gain a vague glimpse of what they ought to be doing.
Like in stepping forward you create a different kind of social situation than what you we creating by stepping backward, fleeing or leading toward yourself. So from the mechanical level of steps you have to jumb to the complexity of your social understanding as a whole and philosophy of life: what is good to do in each kind of situation and how to do it? And from the level of mechanical words "this is a step forward." you have to jumb to the complexity of natural communication by gestures and ways of doing, to the complexity of the social dynamics of the situation: who is leading each moment and in which sense?
You have to get room for yourself and for your pair. To see what is a good, nice way to do things, what also consequently looks nice, you have to take all of your intuitive understanding of life, follow it to produuce a thing of beauty, something enjoyable and worthwhile. That's the idea inside a mechanical form, that is your way to exist, that is the height of your skills and the best ground for learning more about anything.

Ideal way of life

What then is the ideal way of life like? It is something like the traditional ways of American indians and of the other so called primitive cultures of the world with their close contact with the nature and with their healthy ways of living with their enormous amount of sensory stimulus and other factors which keep us healthy and fully functioning.
But that way of life has to be combined with having the technology: a portable computer, a phone, etc and importantly: modern kind of work to do. It may be that as the time passes, we will find more efficient natural ways to handle the modern work too, but for the time being we just have to combine two different types of building blocks: academically or at least school educated with the technology and natural healthy life with the nature. The latter gives us the capacity and endurancy, the former is what matters a lot in the modern world.
Still, the piece of understanding that I am offering about the value of natural ways of living and natural living environment, may make it possible to change many things in how the cities and modern societies are run, at least on the level of looks and feelings & atmospheres, and that ought to cure a lot of the nasty feelings that people have: we matter after all!
